Description
The Antibiotic Zone Reader is a compact and precise instrument designed to measure the diameter of inhibition zones in petri dishes for evaluating the potency of antibiotic substances. Available in Regular (GI powder-coated) and GMP (SS 316/SS 304) models, it offers a measurement range of 0–80 mm with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. The unit features an illuminated base where light passes through the agar and is reflected by a mirror and glass prism system, providing a clear and magnified view of the inhibition zone for accurate and reliable readings in pharmaceutical and microbiology laboratories.
Antibiotic Zone Reader – other equipment
- This is very compact and designed for measuring the diameter of the finished zone in a petri dish, for determining the strength of antibiotic materials.
- External GI powder coated in regular model.
- Unit made of SS 316 or SS 304 in GMP model.
- Accuracy of 0.1 mm.
- This Antibiotic Zone Reader measures the diameter of the inhibited zone within the range of 0 to 80 mm with an accuracy of 0.1 mm.
- The light from an internal source in the base passes up through the transparent and semi-transparent agar, then to a reflecting mirror situated in an arm above the unit.
- The mirror reflects the light to a glass prism, where the magnified image of the zone of inhibition is clearly visible.
