Description
The Cloud and Pour Point Bath (Cooling Model) is designed as per ASTM D-2500-88/D-97 standards for determining the cloud and pour points of petroleum oils and related products. This high-precision unit features a triple-walled construction with an inner SS 304 chamber and a powder-coated GI exterior for durability and thermal efficiency. The standard model includes four independent compartments, each offering distinct temperature ranges — from (-1°C to -2°C), (-15°C to -18°C), (-32°C to -34°C), and (-47°C to -51°C) — for testing samples under varied cooling conditions. Each compartment is equipped with four copper test jackets and clear cylindrical glass test jars, ensuring accurate and consistent test results. The bath utilizes hermetically sealed compressors, condensers, and fan motors for CFC-free cooling performance. Temperature control in each compartment is managed by individual microprocessor-based PID controllers with digital display, offering precise and stable operation. The unit also features a bakelite top surface for easy cleaning and maintenance, with options available for one, two, three, or all four compartment configurations to suit specific laboratory requirements.

- The unit is designed to meet the test method of ASTM D-2500-88/D-97.
- For use to carry test of any petroleum oil as per test method.
- The bath is triple walled in construction with inner chamber made of SS 304 & Exterior of G.I sheet duly finished in Powder coated shade.
- The unit has 4 compartments for 4 different temperature ranges in (STANDARD UNIT):
- 1st compartment: (-) 01°C to (-) 02°C
- 2nd compartment: (-) 15°C to (-) 18°C
- 3rd compartment: (-) 32°C to (-) 34°C
- 4th compartment: (-) 47°C to (-) 51°C
- The top surface of the unit is made of a thick bakelite sheet for easy cleaning.
- Each compartment has 4 test jackets made of copper cylindrical flat bottom – 45 mm dia x 115 mm HT.
- Test jar made of clear cylindrical glass flat bottom 30 to 33.5 mm dia x 115 to 125 mm height.
- All 4 compartments have cooling systems which include hermetically sealed compressor, condenser, fan motor etc – CFC-free cooling system.
- All 4 compartment temperatures are controlled by separate Microprocessor-based PID temperature controllers with digital indication.
- Selection of single, two, or three chambers also available.
Optional
- SAFETY CONTROLLER required to take over control in case of temperature overshoot or if main PID temperature controller fails.
- PRINTER OUTPUT facility required to record PV, SV, actual date/time with variable print time interval, 5000-line memory, and audio alarm facility in case of memory full.
